Mr. Shalek, born in Baltimore, Maryland, has been successfully representing clients in Florida for 28 years where he concentrates in commercial litigation, banking litigation, real estate litigation, partnership disputes, and employment litigation. He has litigated disputes for clients throughout the States of Florida and New York.  Mr. Shalek is an experienced trial and appellate attorney, representing clients in nearly every county and circuit in Florida.  Mr. Shalek routinely handles federal litigations throughout Florida and has successfully handled cases before the United States Court of Appeals in the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Shalek helps client protect their creditor’s rights before the United States Bankruptcy Courts.

 

Mr. Shalek earned his Juris Doctorate from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University (cum laude, Alexander Fellowship with Judge Michael B. Mukasey of the Southern District of New York); and obtained his undergraduate degree in 1984, University of Maryland.

 

Mr. Shalek is admitted in both Florida and New York and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court in both the Southern and Middle District of Florida and the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeal.  He has been a shareholder since 2006.  He represents financial institutions, real estate developers, condominium associations, manufacturers, construction contractors, franchise clients, automobile dealers, insurance companies, and numerous individuals and closely held corporations.
